Prolific times for the Class. I will try to get more info on the project for now some renders and preview, below translate from their description. As reported last week Winglets are now a production standard for new launchs.
"Addiction Catamarans wants to build a French Class A that could be able to win at international level.
The project was initiated by François Verdier, designed by Sam Manuard and built by Tocatek Balaruc, a small Boatyard specialized in carbon.
ADDICTION takes good use of the best resources of our region.
After reading previous post on the D3 R&D, Dario Valenza , builder of the new Paradox sent additional feedback to the interview we made a few months ago. They might be the only ones of the new designs using L rudders against the now almost standard Winglet setup. But just like the Americas Cup new concepts, is all to be seeing and proven this season in the only and final valid measure: The Racing Course.
The new D3 is being developed with the latest CFD technology used in the Americas Cup, it features S boards and production rudder winglet. Along the Paradox and new DNA J boards testing these builders are pushing development started by Martin Fischer's Mayfly, that didn´t had a good debut at Aarhus Worlds and the concept wasn´t further developed in that specific boat. This season the Paradox will give Fischer's concept a new try, while Gonzalo Redondo and Dominik Scheurer are launching a similar concept trying to generate additional lift.
2013 French Nats will be held in Hyeres, venue of the SOF, Duc d'Albe raid and 2006 F18 Worlds.
The French Association wants to organize an event with people all over Europe.

Please find attached the final version of the Notice of Race of the Europeans in Barcelona duly approved by the IACA and the ISAF.
Also, we inform you that the website of the event is: www.vela.cat/bisc
For accommodation, Barcelona has a lot of opportunities as a big city and near the venue it´s a lot of hotels and a big commercial center with restaurants/cinemas/shops (less than 1 km).
The travel agency that we have contacted in order to manage the accommodation of sailors if they want to ask is the following:
Blair Tuke swept the NZ Nationals with an impressive 9 bullets out of 10 races. Followed by Murray Philpot and Dave Shaw. Mike Drummond race again with his rather unconventional H16 style tramp A-Class, he ended 7th, and judging on past performance that platform needs some additional tuning.

Following the success at last years stand at the London Dinghy Show, the British A Class Catamaran Association will be returning again in 2013.
This year the Association will be displaying the hugely successful Vision A-Cat from www.Catamaranparts.nl. After two seasons of intensive prototype testing, the Vision in the capable hands of top flight British sailor Chris Field has returned many successes in 2012 culminating with Chris being Crowned European Champion at Garda last June against a fleet of almost 100 world class sailors.
Jeremy Herrin and Sam Armington were busy past year racing F16 and building their own A cats. Jeremy raced his home built past week with great succes. Below his report on this great experience. Check the full building process at www.ah-sailing.blogspot.com
