How fast did you go this summer ?
Completely irrelevant to the serious racers amongst us , ok , ok,
but still kind of fun to see if you can beat your own speed record !
We all know how fast the windsurfers are going ...
We all knw how fast Alinghi is going all the time ....
We very often got this Rohan Veal succes stories of the F*** blade runner moth going a zillion knts ,
So I want to start the quest for the simple fastest A cat recorded.......
The rules are simple :
Just send me picture of your GPS recorded max speed .( Garmin, Velocitek , whatever Gps will show this )
Tell us a little details about the date , the water , the wind , the boat , the sail, and whatever herioc story
you want to share with us....
How do we check this ?
We don't .
It's completely based on trust... so i don't believe any speed above 30 anyway , unless its behind the car...
End of the season Number one ranked will get an official
"A class Speedmaster 2007 " T- shirt !
WHoaaaaa, that sounds like Coool !

I’ve bin hunting the record since I heard about the challenge. I got close a couple of times, but never over. Finally I got it, on a day I didn’t expect it, leaving the shore for the races at the Swedish Nationals. Sailing between the rocks on absolute flat water. Got hit by a gust and beared of in perfect balance flying one hull just 5cm over the water. Jabadabadooooooo !

The below track was recorded on my Velocitec on Friday July 20th in the afternoon.
Practice day before the Finger lakes regatta in Ithaca NY USA on lake Cayuga.
NO CURRENT WAS PRESENT.
Boat was a bim , USA 200, Hall spar, Glazer sail. Blowing 15-25 from the NW, flat water.
I got a good puff, went to the back of the boat sheeted hard and took it down.
The reason for the circular track afterwards was the man I was sailing with capsized in the same puff and I went back for him.
