The start of the European Acat season was because of the early easter a few weeks earlier in the year then normal .
48 boats, less then normal, due to the bad weather forecast and the snow in Swiss and Germany.
Good racing, three races on saturday with moderate winds, dying in the last race . And two strong wind races on sunday.
Unfortunately the race on monday was cancelled after two rounds when ther was an upcoming thunderstorm .
In this circumstances with the ice-cold adriatic water the committee couldn't take any risk...
Quite a highlight was the appearance of about 6 dolphins during the saturday.
Imagine sailing upwind in trapeze with three 2 m dolphins between your hulls !

The New Bimare V1 made is first racing . Roberto Casadei Finished 4 overall .
The impression of the boat was good, definitely a refinement of the XJ.
Bimare has certainly has a good boat on their hands for the coming years leading up to the Worldcahmpionships 2010 in the A-cat capital from Europe, Cesenatico.
Sjoerd Hoekstra ( NED) ( Tool / Brewin sail) won the serioes with a 1 point lead over Pieterjan Dwarshuis ( Flyer 2 / Glaser sail)
Michael Tobler finishing 3rd after a taking a year off from a cat sailing last year Michael was sailing the Sheuer Mk 5 with the A shby sail.
