Welcome to 2023! Organisation for the Toulon Worlds in Sept is progressing! This is the form for the logistics, be it containers or individual boats. This will assist the club with their deck organistation, particularly as several sailors are interested in early arrivals and training during the busy French July and August holiday periods.

This was the year when the gloves finally came off again after the two dreadful COVID years. Big regattas could finally be held and people could travel unrestricted again. Also, we ended the year with two women as National Champions, showing that this boat is truly for everyone!

The first of 2 videos from Garda by Neil MacGregor. This was race 7 and race 10. We’d requested longer shot sequences so sailors can study the techniques of the top guys, rather than the faster cut promo videos more commonly made. This is a great training aid. Neil has obliged!

North American Championship 2022, Day 3

Day 3 will be remembered as something very different from the rest of the regatta. A cold front came through, which tore down the regatta tent in one storm cell and lowered temps by more than 20 degrees (for those still on the imperial system). Summer ran away and Fall stood up with authority. Sailors geared up with multiple layers and then huffed and puffed while launching and doing basic manoeuvres, most of them convinced that their thicker wetsuits had somehow shrunk over their bellies since last winter….
